Terms of Use
1. Agreement
By downloading or using WordGlint you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. On iPhone, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to your use of the app.
2. Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use WordGlint on your own devices for non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell or distribute the app or its content, except where the law allows it.
3. Virtual items
Coins, hints, power-ups, skins, avatars, stickers and similar items are virtual items for use inside the game. They have no cash value, cannot be transferred or sold, and exist only to enhance gameplay. We may adjust prices, rewards and game balance over time.
4. Purchases
Purchases are charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase and are subject to the terms of that store. Prices are shown in the app before you buy. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their refund policies; they are not issued by us directly.
5. Season pass
The season pass covers one calendar month. Rewards that you reach but have not claimed when the season ends are collected for you automatically. The pass does not renew by itself.
6. VIP subscription
- VIP is an auto-renewing subscription, offered monthly or yearly at the price shown in the app.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
- The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the period at the price of that plan.
- You can manage or cancel at any time in your account settings (iOS: Settings › your name › Subscriptions; Android: Google Play › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions). Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.
- VIP includes the benefits described in the app's shop, such as no ads, daily coins, the premium season pass row and past daily grids. Benefits may be updated over time.
7. Fair play
Please don't modify the app, tamper with saved data to obtain purchased items, or use automated tools to play. We may disable features that are misused.
8. Content and licences
The word lists are derived from SCOWL, and word meanings come from WordNet 3.0 (Princeton University). Fonts are Fredoka and Nunito, under the SIL Open Font License. Their licences are included with the app's source and remain with their authors.
9. Availability and changes
We may update, change or discontinue features at any time. We try to keep the app working, but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
10. Disclaimer and limit of liability
The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid for the app or in-app purchases in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
